I want to share with you what I’m doing to keep my privacy on the Internet.
First my Mobile phone and Tablet:
I use Blokada as Ad blocker, so all my Apps are Ad free.
Link: https://blokada.org
PC:
Search Engine: DuckDuckgo, no tracking / storage of your searches and results compareable with Google.
Browser: Firefox
- Ad on: uBlock Origin (Ad free sites)
- Ad on: HTTPS Everywhere (uses always if possible https)
Other:
I run my own DNS Resolver (unbound, https://nlnetlabs.nl/projects/unbound/about/) on a Linux PC, so wether Google nor my provider knows which sites I’m visiting. Unbound is configured that it sends only the nessasery parts of an URL to the DNS servers, so they also don’t know what I’m looking for.
On all my devices I use a VPN (not always). As VPN I use IPVanish: https://www.ipvanish.com
On the Linux PC I run my own Cloud service (OwnCloud) with Calender and CardBook. So I keep all my datas here and share only what I want with other users. All my devices synchronises with that Calender and CardBook, so I can use it worldwide.
